Jagielka saves the day for Everton with this goal against Liverpool

Phil Jagielka scored a superb long-range goal to snatch a draw for Everton against fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday. Brendan Rodgers’ side had taken the lead in the Merseyside derby clash when Reds captain Steven Gerrard netted a delicious free-kick in the 65th minute to hand the home side what looked to be all three points. But with just minutes remaining on the clock, Jagielka came to The Toffees’ rescue when Aiden McGeady’s cross was cleared straight to the defender before the 32-year-old unleashed a powerful strike from 30 yards out that went hurtling into the top corner. Jagielka’s 91st-minute goal ensured that Everton walked away with a point from the derby match, while the result leaves Rodgers’ men without a Premier League win in three games.
