Jeezy May Be In Trouble Over ‘Holy Ghost’ Remix

Jeezy and Kendrick Lamar may have thrilled fans when they collaborated on the Snowman’s “Holy Ghost” remix, but not everyone is happy about the track. Famed megachurch bishop T.D. Jakes is pursuing legal action against the rappers.
“The ‘Holy Ghost’ remix by Jeezy featuring Kendrick Lamar was produced without the knowledge or consent of T.D. Jakes, TDJ Enterprises, Dexterity Music or its associated companies,” reads a message posted on the T.D. Jakes Ministries’ Facebook page on Monday. “We are taking the necessary legal actions to stop the unauthorized use of T.D. Jakes’ intellectual property.”
The intellectual property in question is one of Jakes’ sermons, “Don’t Let the Chatter Stop You,” which can be viewed on the bishop’s YouTube channel. A portion of the sermon appears at the top of the “Holy Ghost” remix that was released online, but not on the version that appears on Jeezy’s latest album, Seen It All.
