The 45-year-old singer and dancer Casper, 27, ended their relationship in June.
But the pair are said to remain such good friends they are planning a vacation together later this year.
According to insiders, Jennifer pitched the idea of 'going somewhere where they could just relax in private with her kids'.
Casper built up a strong relationship with six-year-old twins Max and Emme while dating their mother.
And the dancer was apparently thrilled by the prospect of getting some time away with his former love.
'Casper was excited and totally into the idea of taking a vacation with Jennifer,' the source added to In Touch Weekly magazine.
The source also revealed Jennifer and Casper remain 'really comfortable around each other'.
After their split, Jennifer spoke about claims Casper had cheated on her with transgender models.
'It can be difficult, but before it hit the press, the transition had already happened for me, so I was already kind of prepared,' Jennifer said.
'I'm used to the press saying things I don't want them to say or that's not true or all that kind of stuff... I don't have to say whether he did or didn't cheat.
'It's not about that; it's about what we know. We're still friends. We're so good.we are so good.'
