Billboard sat down with Women in Music honorees Iggy Azalea, Ariana
Grande and Hayley Williams to talk everything from favorites moments in
2014 to living life in the public eye to inspiration from other strong
females.
Billboard's annual Women in Music event will take place
next Friday 12/12 with Taylor Swift as the 2014 Woman of the Year (image

Iggy Azalea on getting followed by paparazzi:
"Everything
gets so scrutinized now. We have so many outlets that it's hard
sometimes to just be normal. Right now I'm getting [my A$AP Rocky]
tattoo removed and I know there's seven paparazzi outside taking
pictures of me having a conversation with you and I would prefer to do
that in private. But someone's going to sell these pictures to a blog so
we can talk about it on Twitter."
Ariana Grande on her favorite moments in 2014:
"Performing
on the [MTV Video Music Awards] with Jessie and Nicki. Putting out
'Problem.' Spending half of June and most of July with my family in
Florida. And, um, [boyfriend Big] Sean."
Hayley Williams on listening to strong women like Beyonce and Gwen Stefani:
"I
love Debbie Harry and Siouxsie Sioux. I grew up listening to The
Distillers, so Brody Dalle was a hero. Girl groups are really
important to me, but the Shangri-Las especially. As far as more current
acts: Joy Williams, Gwen [Stefani] and Beyoncé. I am always watching
and trying to learn from them -- they're smart and calculated, but
still free."
