The 45-year-old singer is currently single after splitting from dancer Casper Smart earlier this year. However, Jennifer insists she is looking forward to having a 'low-key Christmas' with her six-year-old twins Max and Emme.
'I think it's just going to be a low-key Christmas for me and the kids,' Jennifer told Access Hollywood. 'I'm excited to stay home. I'm actually working on New Year's Eve, so I'll be rehearsing through the holidays. I love it.'
Jennifer also opened up about what Max and Emme, whose father is singer Marc Anthony, have at the top of their Christmas lists.
And the American Idol judge admitted there are some aspects of life that her little ones know more about than her.
'My son is obsessed with computers and apps,' she said. 'I don't even know. He knows so much more than I do. And my daughter is just like, 'I want sparkly nail polish. I want new leggings.'"
Jennifer will be returning to her judging spot on the Idol panel when the new series returns to screens on January 7.
And while she is looking forward to finding some new talent on the show, there's another reason the songstress loves her Idol role ' the fashion!
"There's always new fun clothes to wear!' Jennifer said. 'It doesn't matter where they're from. It can be from Topshop or Forever 21. That's the definition of style to me. You find what it is you and you put it together. It doesn't matter if it's a designer label or just a regular store."
