Manchester UnitedLouis van Gaal is reportedly readying a £90m offer for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Star.
Bale has regularly expressed that he is happy at the Bernabeu and does not want to leave.
However, the former Spurs star's future has unexpectedly been a source of discussion after his team-mates excelled in his absence through injury earlier this season.
United have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels although they will have to wait until next summer to sign him, according to the Daily Star.
The Reds face stiff competition from Arsenal for the £47m-rated defender, but they will not be able to sign him in the short-term anyway with Dortmund planning to keep their captain until the end of the season.
The singing of Hummels is all the more important with the Old Trafford futures of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling uncertain.

Meanwhile the Daily Express reports that Atletico Madrid are happy to accept a £20m bid from United for defender Joao Miranda.
The La Liga champions do not need to keep hold of the Brazilian since the emergence of young centre-back Jose Gimenez.
Miranda has a £24m release clause in his contract, but Atletico are prepared to sell him for £4m less because the 30-year-old's contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
