Nick Cannon is reportedly penning Mariah Carey a special Christmas song in an effort to win her back.
The
couple separated in August after a six-year marriage, and they have
three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe together. They have kept things
civil for the sake of the little ones, even spending Thanksgiving
together last month.
It's now claimed Nick believes they should
try again, so is going all out this Christmas. He is planning to
serenade his estranged wife on December 25, and has even got the twins
to record a version of her hit All I Want For Christmas Is You so he can
sample it.
"Nick wants her back. He still loves Mariah, for all
her wacky behaviour, and it's tearing him up seeing her not cope well
since they split," a source told British magazine Heat. "He's put aside
some major cash for a very special gift - yes, it will be diamonds, and
has written her a Christmas love song he plans to sing her under the
tree."
Since their split there have been rumours about Nick,
including that he was romancing Amber Rose after he signed on to manage
her. He's always denied that, but apparently Mariah wasn't amused by the
reports.
"He's serious, but whether Mariah can get over his bad behaviour remains to be seen," the insider said.
Nick's previously confirmed he and Mariah will spend December 25 together as a family, revealing they are still very close.
"Gotta keep that going. I want to make sure we have a wonderful holiday together," he told In Touch magazine.
"[We'll probably spend Christmas] Somewhere cold and snowy, like Aspen [Colorado].
"We
talk and text every day. My children are my number one priority.
Everything I do is for them. I just want to be the best father I can
possibly be."
